JB surprised me tbh. I didn’t expect much since he's on the other side of most stuff I care about but he’s actually done a pretty solid job on water policy. I saw something about him pushing for better conservation practices and that’s huge with how bad droughts are getting. That said he still leans way too much into urban issues and kinda forgets rural folks exist. Wish he’d focus more on ag subsidies or how rising costs are crushing small ranches like mine. But compared to others he’s at least
So JB actually did something decent with the clean energy stuff. I mean it’s Illinois so you expect him to lean that way but at least he’s trying to push renewables forward. But man he’s still so focused on big cities and not enough on rural areas. I’m all about green energy but it’s gotta work for everyone not just the big hubs. He’s ok overall but could balance things better.
